PURPOSE:To enable the control of the viscosity of a recording ink dispensing with any precision parts by determining the opening time of a water injection value detecting the temperature and pressure to specify the relation between the temperature and pressure. CONSTITUTION:The power source is closed to turn ON a pressure pump P0 and a recovery pump P1 and a valve V1 is closed while a valve V2 opened. After a constant condition is reached, the temperature is detected with a temperature sensor ST and the pressure detected with a pressure sensor SP. Based on the temperature and the pressure, the ink viscosity is controlled to a constant level through a solvent cartridge SP with a specified amount of water. In this case, the amount of water to be fed is stored beforehand in a memory such as ROM as the open period of a valve V3 corresponding to the temperature and pressure and the valve V3 is controlled according to the results of detection. |
