PURPOSE:To remove the residual pulverized substance attached to the inner wall of a transport pipe easily by setting cleaning elements of elastic material in the transport pipe, where each element shall have a dia. a little larger than the dia. of the transport pipe, and by sending them pneumatically by compressed air. CONSTITUTION:A transport pipe 5 is installed between a storage tank 4 and a blow tank 3, which constitute the ending terminal 2 and beginning terminal 1 of pneumatic transportation. In this arrangement a loading port 8 is opened at the outlet 7 from a discharge pipe 6 coupled with the bottom of said blow tank 3, and closed by a cap 9 closely. A grated collecting cage 10 is installed at the upper part of the abovementioned storage tank 4. In order to clean the transport pipe 5, cleaning elements 11, 11' of elastic material having a dia. a little greater than the inside dia. of the transport pipe 5 are set in the abovementioned loading port 8. Then compressed air is supplied from the air supply port 12 of the blow tank 3 to allow the cleaning element 11 to remove the residual pulverized substance 13 attached to the inner wall of the transport pipe 5, and the element 11 pressed foward is collected by a collecting cage 10. |
