PURPOSE:To enable saving and the efficient use of heavy oil, by a method wherein heated heavy oil is pulverized, emulsifier and water are mixed during discharge to emulsify it as a specified temperature is held, and ozone is added thereto to spray it into a furnace for combustion. CONSTITUTION:Heavy oil having a specified temperature is heated and conveyed from a heavy oil tank 1 as it is regulated into a proper amount by a sluice valve 2, and is granulated into droplats by a high speed rotary puluerizer 3. Thereafter, the heavy oil is discharged as an amount is regulated with the aid of a pump 4, an emulsifier and water are mixed in the heavy oil simultanneously or at a different times from each other through the supply of them from an emulsifier storage tank 7 and a water tank 8 through the working of a metering pump 10 and a metering pump 10'. The mixture is then agitated by a static mixer 5 to feed it into a tank 6 for emulsification. In order to keep an emulsified substance at a specified temperature, a heater is placed in a tank for emulsification, and the perature, a heater is placed in a tank for emulsification, and the emulsified substance is circulated as an amount is regulated with the aid of a pump 4'.
