PURPOSE:To enlarge a combustion range, by a method wherein a moving reflecting plate, located opposite to a burner port, is provided in a casing surrounding the burner port of a total primary burner device and having an opening part, and a flame rod is situated in the casing or above the opening part of the casing. CONSTITUTION:In case setting is made through throttling of a combustion amount, a signal, by means of which a solenoid 13 is operated, is provided from a control circuit 9 simultaneously with provision of a signal, by means of which a combustion amount is changed over, and a reflecting plate 12 approaches a burner port 15. This causes the burner port 5 to be increased in an amount of a heat radiated from a flame, resulting in an increase in temperature. As a result, a flame is well stabilized by the burner port 5 and stable combustion can be maintained, and thereby there is no fear of CO being generated. Further, stable combustion causes raising of a flame temperature, and thereby ion density in a flame is increased, and an ion current, flowing through a flame rod 8, is also increased. Thus, a flame condition can be detected by means of a nozzle from the outside without any fear of occurrence of mulfunction. |
