PURPOSE:To prevent as well rusting on a mounting plate for a scratching tip as sedimentation of scratched objects on an elastic member by covering the coupling part of the mounting plate with the elastic member, in which the mounting plate is recessed, with a plastic folm. CONSTITUTION:A tip mounting plate 2 and a base board for mounting 3 are coupled together by recessing one of the ends of each plate or board in an elastic member 1 of rubber etc. in its positions facing each other situated along the diametric direction. A long hole 3a for installation on a cleaner retaining bracket is provided in said base board 3 in its intermediate part. A scratching tip 4 is installed at the foremost part of said tip mounting plate 2. Here the portion from the point of tip mounting plate 2 adjacent to the scratching tip 4 to the intermediate point of the base board 3 is covered with a plastic film 5. This can prevent rusting on the tip mounting plate 2 and attachment or sedimentation of the scratched object to/on the elastic member 1 to ensure prolonged durability of a belt cleaner. |
