CONTROL DEVICE FOR ROLLING DOWN OF PLATEN WITH PRESS FOR FORMING UO STEEL PIPE

PURPOSE:To control rolling down of a platen with high accuracy and to improve press formability and productivity by enabling control of the stop position at the lower limit and leveling control of the platen. CONSTITUTION:Control of the stop position at the lower limit of a platen 10 is accomplished by controlling the opening degree of an electro-hydraulic servo valve 19 provided to hydraulic cylinder groups 2-8 at the approximate center of the platen by the difference between the prescribed set lower limit value and the detected position value of the central part of the platen. The leveling control of the platen 10 is accomplished by controlling the opening degree of electro- hydraulic servo valves 20, 21 provided respectively to hydraulic cylinders 1, 9 at the end of the platen by the difference between the detected position value of the central part of the platen and the detected position value of the end of the platen detected by a position detector.
