PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability by employing a mechanical brake in addition to an electric brake near the turning point due to the decrease in the rotating speed by an external resistance, thereby shortening the time until stopping. CONSTITUTION:When a generator is stopped, after the speed is decelerated by approx. 50% by natural deceleration, a disconnecting switch for an electric brake is closed to operate the electric brake. Then, the turning point due to the decrease in the rotating speed by the external resistance is detected, a mechanical brake is also used at this time to decelerate the rotating speed to stop. |
