The invention relates to instruments of pack type for horses, intended to support cases serving for transporting various contents. It comprises six leather straps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 connected in threes to four rings 9, 10, 11 and 12 arranged at the four corners of a rectangle. This assembly adapts to all types of saddle which it thus transforms immediately into a pack by creating four fixed points, the rings, two on either side of the horse. The system is made integral with the saddle by means of a large strap 13 which surrounds saddle and pack and two others 7 and 8 which are smaller and connect the rings 9 and 10 to the stirrup-leather holders. The invention can be used inexpensively by all pack users, occasional or otherwise. <IMAGE>
