PURPOSE:To prevent deformation and damage of a metallic belt, the track of which is changed and to enable high-speed running of the belt by disposing jet orifices on a circular-arc guide surface where a metallic belt is spirally wrapped, and by jetting pressurized fluid from the jet orifices. CONSTITUTION:A liquid 28 is stored in a tank 27, and a right cylindrical guide drum 30 having a hermetically sealed space 29 is soaked in the liquid 28. A metallic belt 33 is introduced by a guide roller 31 and spirally wrapped round the guide drum 30 under one lap. After the track of the belt is changed in a 90 deg. arc, the belt is led out. In this arrangement, the outer peripheral surface of the guide drum 30 opposite to the metallic belt 33 is produced with a lot of jet orifices 34 formed along its track. The liquid 28 in the tank 27 is fed under pressure into the internal space of the guide drum 30 by a pump, and jetted from the jet orifices 34, whereby the liquid 28 is interposed between the outer peripheral surface of the guide drum 30 and the metallic belt 33 to attain the desired end. |
