The appts. has a reflector (2) with a parabolic profile section, running parallel to the light source (1) and transverse screening corresp. to a predetermined screening angle (alpha). In addition there are three axially disposed V section lateral louvers giving a longitudinal screening corresp. to the transverse screening. The top end (9a) of each wing (7) of the lateral louvers (6) coincides with the top of the visible zone of the reflector (2) and is limited to the complementary angle of screening angle (alpha). The top cut-away (9) of each wing (7) is formed with a flat surface and as a result, the zones of the reflector (2) which could produce parasitic illumination are effectively removed.
