The invention relates to a cartridge heater which comprises several tubes 13 arranged side by side, for emitting infrared radiation. The reflector comprises several juxtaposed gutters 2 each one being formed by two half-gutters 5 and 6. The longitudinal gap 7 between two half-gutters 5 and 6 is masked by a shield 12 carried directly by the wall of the tube 13. The shield 12 may be fixed or removable, and made of metal or ceramic. Application: reduction in the cost of manufacture. Simplicity of maintenance. <IMAGE>
