PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts in a wheel support device such as a motorcycle by touching one bearing to the large diameter section of a stepped axle so as to freely slide in the axial direction, and touching the other bearing to the small diameter section, with its inner race touching the stepped section, and fixing and mounting an outer race to a hub. CONSTITUTION:An axle 17 is comprised a large diameter axle 17a and a small diameter axle 17b on a stepped axle. A bearing 18 is fit to the large diameter axle 17a so as to freely slide in the axial direction and a bearing 18' touches the small diameter section 17b with its inner race 18a touching a stepped section 17c. An outer race 18b touches the stepped section 19a of a hub 19 and is fit to it and then is fixed by a snap ring 28. As a result, spacers are eliminated and the number of parts is reduced. Also, structure can be simplified and molding is facilitated. |
