PURPOSE:To obtain a solid metallic heat insulating container having high heat retaining property by joining separate members that constitute inner and outer containers at the same position, bending the rim of the members outward over whole circumference and lap joining, and lap joining the mouth of the container and unifying the inner and outer containers. CONSTITUTION:The rim of members at the joint of the bottom 2' and opening body 2'' is bent outward over the whole circumference to form a flangelike rim 5', and several parts of it are extended to form projections 6'. The flangelike rim 5' and projections 6' are seam welded to form joints 5, 6 and an inner container 2 is obtained. A flangelike rim 4' made by bending whole circumference of rim of a member is lapped on the bottom body 3' and opening body 3'' and seam welded to form a joint 4. At this time, air between inner and outer containers is exhausted from a part 10 of the joint 4, and the part not yet joined 10 is closed finally. Then, inner and outer containers 2, 3 are joined in a body, and the space between the containers is kept vacuum, and a solid metallic heat insulating container having high heat retaining property is obtained. |
