The device for facilitating the fixing of sealing rings to hollow-body sections is characterised by a base part which is connected in one of its end areas to a column running essentially perpendicular to it, a holding part movable along the longitudinal axis of the column and having at least one recess, running transversely to its longitudinal axis, on its side directed towards the base part, as well as a compression spring, mounted in the area of the column in contact with the base part and the holding part, or a tension spring fastened in the area of the column to the holding part and above the same to the column, in which arrangement the holding part, during pressure on its free end from the direction of the base part, can be secured in an infinitely variable manner by canting two surface sections on the holding part relative to in each case a surface section on the column, which surface section is essentially parallel to these surface sections in the normal position.
