Mineral filled polypropylene (as a preferred embodiment), but also filled thermoplastic material that is inert to electrolyte, such as polypropylene, polyethylene, copolymers thereof, and nylons is used for injection molded seals comprising rupturable vent members for galvanic cells. The mineral is generally talc, (anhydrous magnesium silicate) but may be calcium carbonate or mica, or other electrolyte-inert material. |
