PURPOSE:To facilitate laser welding of a microwave box body to a cap and to obtain a sufficient hermetic sealing between them by interposing a metallic ring when sealing the box body with the cap. CONSTITUTION:A ring 12 is silver brazed to a body 10 made of copper alloy. A high frequency circuit is mounted on the body 10, which is covered with a cap 11. The cap 11 and the ring 12 are laser welded to seal the body 12. The ring 12 may be made of iron-nickel-chlomium alloy (stainless steel), iron-nickel-cobalt alloy (Kovar) or the like. The cap 11 is preferably made of the same material as the ring, so that they are provided with improved workability without thermal problems and can be completely laser welded. |
