In a circuit arrangement for compensating for non-linear distortion in a transmission system, the signal path is divided, e.g. using a hybrid coupler, into two paths. One path is used for transmission of the undistorted signal. In the second path, only the distortion products of the sequences to be compensated for are generated. The signals of both paths are then added together.
