An attachment for a cutting torch including a support member (35) for supporting a cutting head (17) of a cutting torch and guide means suitably in the form of a travelling wheel assembly (36) for guiding the cutting head (17) at a suitable height for operation. There is also included pivot means suitably in the form of an offset pivot rod (27) for use as a fulcrum or central support. There is also included common mounting means suitably in the form of a mounting frame (32A) for releasably mounting each of the support member, the guide means and the pivot means. The arrangement is such that in use the cutting head (17) may cut a circular plate of metal from a metal sheet when supported by the support member and guided by the guide means using the pivot means as a central support or fulcrum. Each of the support member, the guide means and the pivot means is interchangeable relative to the common mounting means. In another aspect the invention relates to a guide means for a cutting torch attachment having a pivot in or pivot rod (27) in the form of an inwardly directed shank. |
