Freezing appliance with a refrigerator controlled in dependence on temperature and whose controller is provided with a prefreezing circuit by means of which the refrigerator can be switched on temporarily independently of the controller in order to provide a cold reserve, in case of need, for newly stored goods. The prefreezing circuit is provided with a device which detects the thermal capacity in the user space of the freezing appliance from the change of the temperature gradients in its user space and then determines the duration of the prefreezing cycle. ……
