PURPOSE:To avoid the necessity of additional tightening during operation and eliminate the leak of steam by installing a ring-shaped graphite packing for high-pressure compression between the valve rod of a steam adjustable valve and the valve-rod penetration part of a valve stand. CONSTITUTION:The hole into which the valve rod 3 of the valve stand 2 of a steam adjustable valve, namely a gland part 14 is constituted of a gland bush 6, a plurality of spacing rings 21, pushing ring 13a, a plurality of graphite packings 22 for high-pressure compression, and a bush 5. Said packing 22 is compressed by the tightening through a screw bush 12 incorporated within a range of 2-3 times of the outside diameter of the valve rod 3, and the inner peripheral surface of the penetration hole on the valve stand 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the valve rod 3 are sealed airtightly, and the necessity of additional tightening during operation can be avoided. |
