摘要 The characteristic objectives when conceiving supporting and guiding technology for magnetic levitation are high actuator speed with a low mass and small losses. The use of said technology in conjunction with the linear long-type stator or the short-type stator drive requires different peripheral conditions to be taken into account. It is important for both arrangements that functional compensations can be realised because only they permit expenditure on the vehicle side and on the travelway side to be greatly reduced. The method described here makes use of a division of the exciter winding in order to produce the magnetic field, one exciter part being uninfluenced by the stabilisation measures of the normal force whilst the other part produces the position-dependent field components without significant coupling. In the long-type stator design, and also in order to support uneven workpieces, magnetic configurations are proposed which have adjustable pole elements. The adjustment forces here are produced both by changing field densities in the supporting gap and also by a separate drive force. The latter is produced by the interaction of the magnetic field originating from the main excitation with the control currents.
