A pneumatic cylinder 84 moves a block 42 with a cutting edge 65 to cooperate with a fixed cutting edge 40 (Fig. 6) on a block 36, severing the yarn and pushing the severed end toward the aspirator mouth. The surfaces of the block 36 may be sloped away from the cutting edge so that the yarn end does not impinge thereon, thus losing momentum, during deflection to the aspirator, the mouth of which may be directed to intersect the yarn path at an angle between 10‹ and 20‹. |
