PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to machine a spool support part with high precision, by a method wherein both ends of each spool are pressed by support members, and the spools are supported through auto-centering. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 20 enclosing a payout-side spool 21 with a fresh ink sheet 1 wound therearound and a take-up side spool 22 in a casing 23 is inserted into a central of a main body 24 of the printer. As a result, a lever part 49 comes into contact with the casing 23, and fastening of each fastening pin 29b by each stopper 47 is released. By this,the support members 28a 28d press both ends of the corresponding spools 21, 22. With the support member 28a rotated under this condition, an engaging projection 28e is engaged into an engaging groove 22a of the spool 22, the ink sheet 1 is taken up by the spool 22, the spool 21 is rotated, and an engaging projection 28f of the support member 28c is engaged into an engaging groove 21a of the spool 21. Accordingly, rotation resistance is applied to the spool 21, resulting in a condition where printing can be performed. |
