<p>PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a specific black disazo dye, having improved solubility in petroleum solvents, etc. and stability with time, and suitable for coloring petroleum products and writing utensils, etc. CONSTITUTION:A colored oil composition obtained by incorporating (A) a novel black disazo dye expressed by the formula [R is H or CH3; R1 and R2 are H, 4-18C alkyl, alkenyl or (alkyl-substituted) benzyl, provided that R1 and R2 are not H at the same time] with (B) an aliphatic hydrocarbon based solvent and/or aicyclic compound based solvent as a petroleum solvent, e.g. (cyclo)hexane, or a halogenated hydrocarbon and if necessary a resin, etc. For example, the compound expressed by the formula (R is H; R1 and R2 are n-C12H25) is obtained by diazotizing 4-phenylazo-1-naphthylamine, and coupling the resultant diazo compound with 1,8-diaminonaphthalene.</p> |
