The invention relates to a sifting device, in particular for sifting out different materials such as household refuse or the like, in which carriers are arranged between the side walls of a frame, on which carriers sifting rods are held on one side. The device has the purpose of enabling sifting devices to be matched with the smallest possible expenditure and in the shortest possible time to different qualities of sorting material in order always to permit optimum utilisation of the sifting device. For this purpose, it is proposed according to the invention to attach the sifting rods with their carrying elements individually or in groups so as to be capable of being removed and/or displaced on the carriers which are swivellably mounted on the side walls or on the frame.
