<p>In an article conveying and accumulating device, in which substantially identical articles (A) are being transferred by a pusher (2) from a conveyor (1) onto a receiving surface (C) adjacent the conveyor (1), and accumulated on said receiving surface (C) by repeated strokes of said pusher (2), the receiving surface (C) is formed by a conveyor (5) driven for constant movement at right angles to the conveyor (1) with substantially the same speed as the pushing speed of the pusher (2).
