PURPOSE:To improve fixing performance with simple constitution at a low cost by turning continuously a flash lamp on and off at lower energy than normal prior to fixing, a warming the fixing surface to a specificed temp. and utilizing the mutual effect with flash light in the stage of fixing. CONSTITUTION:When a power source of a copying machine is turned on, a signal indicating that the temp. of a back plate 5 is low and the preparation is not completed yet is emitted from a thermistor 6 provided to the plate 5 to a control part. The lamp 1 is then operated continuously on and off at about half the normal energy and the plate 5 is heated quickly to the fixable temp. When the thermistor 6 detects said temp., the input to the flash power source is changed over to 100V input side and flash light is irradiated to paper 11 which is fed onto the plate 5 being in constant warm temperature, by which the paper is fixed. |
