PURPOSE:To prevent dazzlement of a driver and improve visibility, by dimming a right head lamp of a low beam and turning on an illumination lamp provided on a right-hand side of a vehicle in association with the dimming-out to illuminate a left-hand side of an opposite vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In the case that two vehicle 1 and 2 are running in opposed direction at night, a right head lamp 3 of the vehicle 1 is dimmed at a low beam position, and an illumination lamp 5 mounted on a side surface of a right fender 4 is turned on in association with the dimming-out. Similarly, a right head lamp 3' of the opposite vehicle 2 is dimmed, and an illumination lamp 5' is turned on in association with the dimming-out. Thusly, opposite lights on each driver's side of the vehicles 1 and 2 may be dimmed, and each of left side areas 6 of the vehicles 1 and 2 may be illuminated by the illumination lamps 5 and 5'. Accordingly, in the case that the vehicles 1 and 2 are running in opposed direction at night, dazzlement of drivers due to the right head lamps 3 and 3' may be eliminated, and the left side areas 6 and 6' may be clearly visualized. |
