PURPOSE:To prevent a hard resin foam layer having an open cell rate greater than a predetermined value from being separated down from an automotive roof by heat distorsion during treatment in a repainting and baking oven, by attaching the hard resin foam layer by adhesive to an inner surface of an outer plate of the automotive roof. CONSTITUTION:A vibration damping roof is formed in such a structure that a hard resin foam layer 10 having an open cell rate of 20% of more is bonded through an adhesive layer 9 onto an entire inner surface of a roof steel plate 1 of an automotive body. A listing wire 4 is stretched at a lower portion of the vibration damping roof, and a head lining clotch 5 is suspendedly supported through bag-like support portions 11 to the listing wire 4. The hard resin foam layer 10 is preferably a polyurethane foam layer, and is in an open cell struc- ture as reinforced by a reinforcing material such as a glass fiber mat. |
