<p>The device can be used for removing pollution from stretches of the sea. It consists of a hull (12) fitted with means for propulsion and having a central part (10) which bows out towards the front with respect to two lateral sections (11). These lateral sections, together with the central part, define channels leading to the separators. The central part has deflecting elements, such as vanes (17), to create eddies whose orientation tends to reduce the separation of the surface flow around the hull. Each lateral section defines, in a portion located in front of a first capture threshold (18), an open channel letting communication at depth persist. This allows water to flow from one side of the side hull to the other. The front end of each side hull is connected to a blade (14) for connection to the submerged part of the central hull in front of the stem (13) of the side hull.
