PURPOSE:To confirm easily the characteristics of a microwave amplifier by attaining the supply of a DC bias to a balanced mixer in a transmission frequency converter where the microwave amplifier and the mixer are integrated. CONSTITUTION:When the balanced mixer is used as the mixer 2 and the mixer 2 is unbalanced by the DC bias applied from an external terminal 5 via a choke coil 4, the mixer 2 acts like a switch of low loss and a high frequency output of the mixer 2 and a local oscillation input terminal are electrically conducted. Thus, the characteristic of the amplifier 1 is measured nearly by checking the transfer characteristic between the local oscillation input and the output of the amplifier 1 in the state. |
