An insulator body (11) for a press fit connector is configured to have a plurality of identical compartments (14) or sleeves for receiving contacts. Each sleeve has offset shoulders (47a,48a) which mate with projections (44) on the terminals whereby the terminals may be press fitted into a printed circuit board using the insulator body (11) as the press fit tool.
