PURPOSE:To prevent exposure of a sharp edge due to breakage and to improve safety, by a method wherein a filmlike coupling member is attached to prevent dropping of a composing member when the conposing member for a non-rotating mechanism which holds in a non-rotating manner a mounting member installed to the central part of a steering wheel, is broken. CONSTITUTION:An internal gear 5b of a cylindrical member 20 secured to a steering column 1 and an internal gear 5a of a ring 6 rotatably supported to a mounting boss part 4 secured to a steering shaft 2 are coupled together through a plurality of planetary gears 22b and 22a supported to a spoke 24 of a steering wheel. In this constitution, a polyester film 10, serving as a coupling member, is sticked to a back part 7 of the ring gear 6. The end on the inner periphery side of the film 10 is secured at 11 to the end on the inner periphery side of the back part 7, and the end on the outer periphery side is secured at 15 between the nip formed by a flange 9 and a pad 13. This, when the ring gear 6 is broken, enables prevention of dropping of the pad 14, the electronic unit 13 and the like with the aid of the film 10. |
