PURPOSE:To reduce generation of a sliding noise by forming a chip base for fixing a head chip to a rotary cylinder by using a vibration-proof alloy, in a magnetic recording and reproducing device of a rotary head type helical scanning system. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head 10 is formed by loading, for instance, two magnetic head chips 12, 12 on a cylindrical rotary cylinder 11. These magnetic head chips 12, 12 are formed by a single crystal ferrite, a coil 15 is wound around them, they are fixed to chip bases 13, 13, respectively, and these chip bases 13, 13 are formed by a vibration-proof alloy, and installed to the rotary cylinder 11. In this way, as for a video tape recorder to which an elastic member is attached, a sliding noise is reduced by 2-3dB or so. |
