PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a miscopy owing to misplacement of an original on a platen by detecting the inclination of the original placed on the platen and having the inclination corrected. CONSTITUTION:The light reflectivity of a reflecting body 24 is made different from the light reflectivity of an original and therefore the light reflected from the body 24 and the light reflected from the original 22 are different in intensity from each other. The above-mentioned sensor which receives simultaneously the light reflected from the body 24 and the light reflected from the end of the original 22 outputs the picture signal indicating brightness and darkness. Said signal is binary coded in a signal processing circuit 25 and is then inputted to a inclination measuring circuit 26. The circuit 26 detects the boundary line between the darkness and the brightness indicated by said picture signal, i.e., then end edge 22a of the original 22, calculates the inclination of the end edge 22a and outputs the signals SD and Stheta indicating the direction and size of the inclination. A motor driving circuit 27 inputted with the signals SD, Stheta drives a motor 20 in the direction where gears 9, 10 rotate toward the right and a platen 1 is thereby rotated by the angle around the vertical axis running the point P by the angle theta in the direction opposite from the inclining direction of the original 22. |
