PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and inexpensive color display device which causes no color shift, by constituting so that a light reflecting film and a transparent electrode film have a comb-shaped stripe structure having a width of 1 to 2, also are placed so as to be shifted by one stripe width from each other, and a three- color filter film has the same arrangement pitch as the one stripe width of the transparent electrode film. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a constitution of a conventional liquid crystal light valve, a color filter of three-color stripes, a light reflecting film divided into a stripe-like comb shape, and a transparent electrode are provided. A light reflecting film 22 and a transparent electrode 25 are sectioned repeatedly to stripes having a width of 1:2, respectively, and the stripes (A, B) and (C, D) of the light reflecting film 22 and the transparent electrode 25 are placed so as to be shifted by one stripe width as shown in the figure. As for a color of a part in which write has not been executed by a laser, red, green and blue of white projecting light 9 are all reflected and returned, and a picture element of white is obtained. As for a color of a part in with write has been executed by a laser, light of red is scattered, therefore, a picture element of colors of blue and green is obtained, and blue and green are displayed on a white ground. |
