PURPOSE:To improve image dissection with increased density of dots by providing specified arrangement of plural rows of needle electrodes and by applying image signals to the rows of needle electrodes based such on a time difference as to be determined in accordance with said row interval and the recording paper flow speed. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recorder is provided by installing a needle electrode group 11 on the under surface of a horizontal ink layer and a cover panel 16 with slits 15 on its surface for flying ink drips upwards. Additionally, a plural rows of needle electrode groups 11a and 11b are arranged at the specified interval (r) in the direct ion of the flow of recording paper 18. Further, said groups of electrodes are arranged in a staggered fashion in the direction of said rows. Controllers 19 and 21 drive in turn and independently by row a plural rows of needle electrode groups 11a and 11b of plural rows based on the time differences to be determined according to the interval (r) between a plural rows of needle electrode groups 11a and 11b and the flow speed of the recording paper 18. |
