PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the grasping of a specimen reduced in the irregularity of a measuring result by enabling the accurate attachment of the specimen by simple work, by placing a grasping tool along the guides provided to both sides of a block having a notch and setting the specimen in the notch to grasp the same. CONSTITUTION:A specimen grasping tool consists of a grasping tool main body 4 and a screw 7 for securing the grasping plate 6 to the main body 4 and the end part of the specimen 8 is held between the main body 4 and the grasping plate 6 while the other end thereof is attached to a test machine. In this grasping tool, the grasping tool main body is split and a grasping tool piece 5 is engaged with the main body 4 by a wire 9. In attaching the sheet like specimen to each grasping tool, each grasping tool is placed to a jig 1 so as to be contacted with both sides of the block 3 of said jig 1 and, subsequently, the sheet like specimen 8 is mounted in the notch 3a of the block 3. The width of the notch 3a is made larger than that of the specimen 8 to prevent the shift of the specimen 8 in the notch 3a. After the specimen 8 is mounted, the specimen 8 is covered with the grasping plate 6 which is, in turn, clamped by the screw to secure the specimen 8 by both grasping tools. |
