A METHOD OF PRODUCING A CONTROLLED NUMBER OF AUTHORIZATION MEMBERS A method of producing a controlled number of authorization members bearing a storage medium is disclosed. The authorization members may be used as checking, identity or value cards for operating automatic service machines, automatic bank counters, etc. The authorization members are produced from blank data carrier cards by being activated in an activating station in which coded authorization data are marked on their storage medium.
