<p>AUTOMATIC RETURN HAND TOOL FOR APPLYING EAR TAGS A hand tool for applying ear tags to animals is provided with an automatic return so that with a single motion arms bearing a slot and an applicator blade are pivoted together so that the applicator blade bearing an ear tag pierces and installs in an animal's ear, an identification ear tag; and the arms, having accomplished their purpose, immediately automatically withdraw by pivoting away from each other, thereby minimizing injury to the animal's ear. The device is particularly adaptable to use with one-piece ear tags.</p> |
