Blends of synthetic fibres and wool are dyed by padding with an aqueous liquor of a pH value not above 7 and which contains a wool dyestuff a disperse dyestuff, an alkali metal salt and/or alkaline earth metal salt of an alkyl sulphonic acid and/or alkylarylsulphonic acid I, and a reaction product of an alkylene oxide with an aliphatic alcohol II followed by drying and thermosoling under an atmosphere of steam and air, the steam/air mixture containing at least 90% of superheated steam. Generally 1-5 parts of component I are used per part of component II, foam-depressing agents may be used, polyester-wool fibre mixtures being dyed. |
