A fuse connector for gripping and making connection with an end cap of a cartridge fuse 3 comprises a thin elongated sheet metal body 4 formed with an aperture defining a pair of bridging portions 10 between which a resilient tab 9 projects, the tab being integral with the body at one end and at its free end being aranged to engage an end of the cartridge fuse whilst sides of the cartridge end are received between the bridging portions. As shown, the body 4 is bent at the aperture to present two limbs 5 and 7 to which external connectors (not shown) may be attached, the tab 9 projecting between the bridging portions 10 and extending beyond them substantially perpendicular to the limb 5. The tab is of reduced width compared with the limbs 5, 7. Two such connectors are assembled in an insulating housing (Fig. 4, not shown) to grip respective ends of a cartridge fuse which may be rotatably mounted. The ends of limbs 5, 7 may form pin or socket contacts. |
