PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording paper improved in adhesion of scum, sticking and abrasion of a head and effective also for rubbing color development, wherein a particulate guanamine-formaldehyde resin having fundamental component units of a specified formula is incorporated in a color forming layer as a stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording paper comprising a color forming layer comprising a basic colorless dye, e.g., 3-diethylamino-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran, and an organic color developer, the color forming layer further comprises as a stabilizer a guanamine-formaldehyde resin having fundamental component units of the formula, wherein R is H, CH3, C2H5, C3H7, C4H9, NH2, NO2, acetyl, C6H11, C6H5, benzyl or methylphenyl, preferably, a benzoguanamine-formaldehyde resin or the like, having an average particle diameter of not larger than 5mum, preferably, in an amount of 1-60wt%. The effect of the addition of the resin is particularly conspicuous when the color developer is a monophenolic 4-hydroxyphenyl compound or a phthalic acid monoester. |
