PURPOSE:To improve the light-load discharge characteristic and the pulse discharge characteristic of a dry cell by adding aluminum chloride or aluminum hydroxide to the positive mixture principally composed of manganese dioxide. CONSTITUTION:In a dry cell constituted by using manganese dioxide as a positive active material, zinc as a negative active material and zinc chloride as a main electrode, about 0.1-5wt% (relative to manganese dioxide contained in the positive mixture) of aluminum chloride or aluminum hydroxide is added. As a result, it is possible to obtain a dry cell of excellent light-load discharge and pulse discharge, in which liquid leakage hardly occurs, without causing any reduction of electric capacity. |
