PURPOSE:To take a high-precision measurement of temperature by installing a radiation thermometer or radiation temperature distribution meter on the side wall of a tunnel parts which connect respective zones of heating, soaking, after- cooling, etc., in an industrial furnace. CONSTITUTION:The measuring device for the surface temperature of a steel plate is provided with a rotating roll 3 which sends the steel plate 4 to the next stage by inverting its running direction and a wadge 5 for measurement. Further, the energy radiated from the wedge part consisting of the roll 3 and steel plate 4 is made incident to the incident port of the radiation thermometer 6. In this case, the apearent emissivity depends upon the frequency of reflection at the wedge part and the frequency of reflection is determined by the incidence position X and incidence angle theta. For the purpose, this wedge part is measured by the radiation thermometer or temperature distribution meter at a sufficiently small angle to the steel plate to take a measurement of temperature with high precision. |
