PURPOSE:To obtain L-phenylalanine in high productivity, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus, having specific resistance, capable of producing L-phenylalanine. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus, showing demanding properties of both tryptophan and tyrosine, having resistance to metafluorophenylalanine, is cultivated in a liquid medium. Consequently, L-phenylalanine is formed, accumulated, and collected. |
