PURPOSE:To obtain a strain producing L-proline in high yield, by adding a plasmid integrated with a DNA fregment containing a specific gene to a recipient belonging to the genus Coryneform. CONSTITUTION:A recipient belonging to the genus Coryneform is integrated with a DNA fragment containing a gene which eliminates L-proline demanding properties of a variant when the fragement is introduced to the variant derived from a bacterium belonging to the genus Coryneform, demanding at least L- proline. Consequently, a strain capable of producing L-proline in high yield is obtained. |
