PURPOSE:To improve impact properties against flying fine foreign matters, by a method wherein, in a ceramic turbine rotor having a rotor blade, made of ceramic and provided with an inducer through which gas flows, at least the inducer through which gas flows, at least the inducer part of the rotor blade is formed by a ceramic series composite material. CONSTITUTION:In a radial turbine rotor 11 made of ceramic for use in a turbocharger, a rotor shaft 2, a disc part 3, and a rotor blade 4 are integrally formed, and the rotor blade 4 is formed with an inducer part 5, an exducer part 6, and a blade outer diameter part 7. A working gas serves to rotate the rotor 11 at a high speed during a time in which the gas flows in through the forward end 5A of the inducer to the exducer part 6 along the blade surface and flows out. In which case, during formation of the turbine rotor 11, the blade outer diameter part 7 including the inducer forward end 5A is reinforced with a ceramic series composite material 8 which is reinforced with ceramic fiber produced as a high- density sintered material made of silicon carbide, silicon nitride, or thialon, etc. |
