PURPOSE:To enhance the durability, safety and driving characteristic of a vehicle, by releasing the control of a throttle valve under operation by an accelerator pedal when the rotational speed of an engine corresponding to the depressing amount of the accelerator exceeds an allowable maximum rotational speed, in order to lower the rotational speed of the engine below the allowable value. CONSTITUTION:A motor 7 is controlled by means of an electric control circuit 7 so that a throttle valve 1 in an internal-combustion engine is controlled to be opened and closed by the rotational output of the motor 2 through a torque transmission device 3. There are provided an accelerator sensor 5 for issuing output signals corresponding to the depressing amount of the accelerator pedal 4 and an engine rotational speed sensor 6 so that the outputs of these sensors are delivered to the electric control circuit 7. This control circuit 7 controls the motor 2 in accordance with the output signal of the accelerator sensor 5, and as well, if an actual rotational speed detected by the rotational speed sensor 6 exceeds a predetermined allowable maximum rotational speed, the control of the throttle valve by the accelerator pedal 4 is released to restrain the rotational speed of the engine below the allowable maximum rotational speed. |
