Mounted in the frame (1) of a metal sheet-bending apparatus are an upper tool (5) which is vertically adjustable by means of a drive, and a lower tool (4) which is adjustable in the horizontal direction transversely to the bending axis. In order to permit additional edging without resetting the workpiece, the lower tool (4) forms a bending edge (12) for an additional tool which can be connected to the frame (1) and is pivotable about an axis of rotation (11) parallel to the bending axis. This additional tool (9) is driven by the upper tool (5).
